First Americans, part of the "Serious Fun: Real Issues at Play" first-year exhibition for the School of Visual Arts MFA Designer as Author program, addressed topic of the American Indians and their status in American society in the form of kids' toys.

Toys included: the Trail of Tears board game, Smallpox Blankets, Wounded Knee paint-by-numbers, Treaty Making & Breaking Ink, Naming Controversy slap bracelets, Reservation Roundup, and the free Candy Maize giveaway.
